Sigma tel c-major driver not working

hi, im having problems getting my sound driver to work.
When i install the driver i get 'Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)' message.
Ive tried different drivers and windows update but still not working.
the laptop is a dell latitude d610 with xp home service pack 3.
The driver is sigma tel c-major audio
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did you get the driver on the Dell Support website?

Also be sure your account is an administrator account, or that you have logged-in as Administrator before you install it.
