I monitor the RSSI signal that come from ARRIS SBG6700AC 2.4 GHz wifi radio by a online tool (#inSSIDer) It usually sits at -25db.
Intermittently the RSSI signal decrease for 2.4ghz wifi radio to -80db and other times the SSID goes away. Which causes my IPad, Ruku, ooma and other wifi devices to disconnect.

I can reset the power to it higher levels by going into the admin controls tool of the SBG6700 and disable the 2.4ghz radio then enabling the 2.4ghz radio. After doing this the power goes back up to -25db.

The 5 ghz radio works and hard-wire all work with no problems. Downstream and upstream bonded channels are all in specification (up 48. dbmv).
Any advice? Thanks

ON inSSIDer, does it show a neighbor with a decent signal (-70db or better) on the same channel as you?

If so then change the wireless channel on your router; non conflicting channels are 1,6 and 11 so choose whichever one has no neighbors on it (at least with -75 or above).

If there is no neighbor causing interference the the 2.4 radio on your router is going bad.
