I was using MSN Messenger just fine with 6.2 and could login wiht no
problems. As soon as I upgraded to 7.0 I could no longer sign in. It just
sits at the signing in screen. Upgraded to 7.5 to see if that would fix it
with no luck. Went to connections/advanced but there is nothing to uncheck
in 7.5. What next?

I also deleted old cache and cookies. Checked my IE settings, and registered
the DLL's. No luck.

Greetings,

Actually there is. To clean this out, click Start, then Run, then type:
%appdata%\microsoft
and click OK.

Right-click the MSN Messenger folder and choose Delete. After all this, restart Messenger
and see if the problem has been corrected.

Well that kind of helped. It works fine when I log using my non-hotmail
account now. But when I login using my hotmail account info it still does
the same thing. Half way there. I tried deleting the directory specific to
that profile with no such luck.
