Signs of faulty motherboard?

Hello, I've noticed some problems on my computer recently and I'm not sure if it's my motherboard or cpu .

For startes, On some of the headphone plugs, the volume can get really low or slightly loud. And on most plugs the microphone won't work at all or my voice volume is very low. And using a wireless mouse is honestly impossible. The mouse pointer is occasionally very laggy and unresponsive (the wireless mouse works fine on other computers). A wired mouse is a must.

I've heard that computers that don't beep on startup can have problems and mine doesn't, but my computer works well enough not counting the problems I listed above.

Would this be a problem with my motherboard or my cpu?

Solution
depending on the age of the pc and how it been used. it can be hardware or software issues. start with ccleaner amd malware bytes and hit man pro scan make sure the pc clean and fresh. then reinstall the audio chipset drivers. if your using realtek drivers get the newest ones from there web page. also for your motherboard download and reinstall the newest chipset drivers to see if you have a damaged usb hub driver. if both drivers wont fix your issue and it been runniing a few years it may be time to back up your data and do a fresh install of windows. most new pc now dont beep as the mb vendors dont put a speaker on the mb. if you want to hear your mb beep now you have to add a speaker. most newer mb use led and debug leds.

Thanks for the help, I'll try everything you listed here. My motherboard is only about a year and a half old so I doubt it should be having problems so soon unless it's faulty.

if it a logic tech mouse try another mouse some mouse and there software on some chipset can do what your seeing. also i seen it happen with damaged windows. you may want to back up pc files and try a clean install with the newest microsoft iso using there windows media creation tool.
