Hey there,

for my new music production Hackintosh, I am looking for a very silent case with good airflow as my overclocked CPU will have a lot to handle.

After a bit of research, I found the following contenders.

Phanteks Eclipse P400A - seems to cover temperature and noise best, but lacks radiator placement options and has a cheap build quality
SilverStone RL06 - looks very solid, but cannot say a lot about noise
Fractal Design Meshify S2 - almost as good as the P400A but without the deficits
Fractal Design Define S - not so sure about the front side being closed?

Any recommendations or any good case I missed?

Thanks in advance. :)

I have this Case. Pretty solid case..it can kill when you smack someone with it in the head.

It cool with this x3 fan at front panel. It really silent fart. noise level at 6.8 dB(A). and also used the fan on CPU. I got 5 total of this fan on the case. Both side panel r cold and temp in my room is 75 F.

The only fan I hear on my case is the PSU and GPU. Trying to go for fanless psu for maximum silent fart. cpu Temp stay under 50 degree at load playing games, like wow, bf1, apex legend

the difference between the Define C Mini and the Meshify Mini are 4°C. I reckon it won't be much more between the ATX-versions of those cases.

imho there's too much fuss about airflow. if my CPU stresses at 68°C or 72°C doesn't really make much of a difference. and whether I get 25Mhz extra on my GPU... it's not the difference between a stellar gaming experience and literally unplayable...

I'd also point at the Phanteks 600 or the various Enthoo series cases, Thermaltake F51, Lian-Li O11D

Fractal Design seems to have good reputation here. I prefer the S2 Meshify over the C series because of it's bigger case, but the designs look pretty same.

The Phanteks 600 sounds interesting. If it's an improvement to their P400A, it would be a super efficient case. And it's finally possible to mount AIO to the top rear. I'll search for some reviews of that case.
