Silicone fan mounts - usable on a CPU cooling fan?

Hello!

I have a Dell Vostro 400 tower and a while back I bought a Nexus 80mm PWM fan to replace Dell's noisy stock CPU cooling fan. It came with these silicon mounting pins/screws which I don't THINK I can use. But I'm getting some vibration since losing a screw (currently using 3 out of 4) and I'm wondering again if in fact I can use rubber/silicone mounts on my CPU fan or not.

This isn't my exact model, but the silicone pins shown are identical (well, mine are purple):

It's a Dell mobo running an Intel Core2 Duo CPU.

Can I use silicone mounting pins? If not, what size screw do I need, does anyone know? Silly question, I know. Worst case, I'll bring one to my local hardware store, but I'm guessing it may be smaller than anything they carry. They don't specialize in electronics.

Thanks in advance!

I don't see why not?

You just take the fan and screws off. Shove the blunt end of the silicone into the chassis mount holes, leaving the posts sticking out on the side you want to install the fan it. Then shove the fan onto the other side. (A pair of pliers can help to hold the pointy end so that it doesn't just pop out the other side)

I usually go for the fans that have a rubber mount hole or washer and use standard screws.
