silver waterblock as a killcoil?

Solution
Might just not keep bio slime growth under control as good as it could be, but as long as you flush it every 6 to 12 month and take the block apart to clean the fins/channels, you should be fine.

Prepping it correctly would help a lot.
Depending if the silver comes in contact with the water. If its coated/painted or using a different metal on the inside, no.
I prefer dead water, takes about a drop per 1qt of fluid, dont worry about using a 2 to 3 more than needed.
I didn't change water for more than a year and had no significant bio build up on the block.

Make sure to properly flush the system with distilled water at least twice, running the system for at least 24h each time.
See if you can fimd a bottle of sys-prep fluid from primochill, and use it with the 2nd flush, then do a 3rd with just distilled water again.
After that fill to proper level with distilled water and add the dead water..

how i understood it some aquacomouter's cpu blocks have the water in contact with the silver,
what i was wondering is that does the fact that the silver is .925 instead of the usual .999 with killcoils make a difference in how it performs?
