Time to make cooling a board feature on socketlevel. Chip, Ram, SSD sitting on a watercooled board. High TDPs wont go away. The motherboard would probably be double thickness and thus fit into most cases.

I miss a comparisaon with Intel's stock coolers (the ones with copper core) for i7's, which Intel finds suitable for their CPUs.

That said, maybe I am wrong using the stock copper-core cooler for an i7-8700k ?
It's usually not that heavily loaded, but I'd like a quieter (yet low) cooler.

Any thoughts if I would benefit from either of these (not the high ones).

I wish all of these cooler tests would include the stock cooler, if one is included with the CPU. It would provide better guidance to those purchasing CPU coolers in regards to the benefits gained vs the additional cost.
