Silverstone PSU Fan Not Running

Hey guys, my psu fan does not spin but my computer boots up and works perfectly fine. Should I be worried about the fan?

Is this a new PSU model? Newer models will not spin the fan until a certain temp threshold is reached.

Honestly I am not sure, it is a 1200W so I am assuming pretty high end. I would have to remove the power supply to see the exact model as I was given this power supply. Should I just run some games and see if the fans turn on?

I am pretty sure it's part of the Strider Plus Series

You'll have to open the case and look at the PSU label to get the model# to know for sure. Pretty much all PSU other than bargin basement ones these days have silent running as a feature.

You can try testing it by putting a load on the system. Usually playing a game that cranks the CPU&GPU up will do the trick.

No problem. Note you can see the same feature in modern GPUs too if you haven't noticed as well.
