i am building a pc, and was wondering if the above mentioned case would fit a NOCTUA NH-U14S cpu cooler. if not, any other recomendations are welcome.

Will the rl06 (max CPU cooler height limit = 158mm) work with the Noctua NH-U12S (height with fan = 158mm)?

Yes.
From my experience, case manufacturers typically leave a couple mm off of their max allowable height.
