I'm trying to find motherboards that are compatible with the wind tunnel in
the Silverstone TJ-06 case. The TJ-06 is an upside down ATX case with a
wind tunnel at the bottom and will help lower temps 2-5C when the wind
tunnel is used. However with socket 939 nForce 4 the CPU socket can be
placed in locations that are incompatible with wind tunnel

It appears the DFI LanParty UT nF4 Ultra-D won't

ASUS AN8-SLI deluxe definitely will

Abit Fatality AN8 looks like a maybe

If you have TJ-06 and are using the wind tunnel with an nForce 939 board
could you please post what board you are using

Currently I'm just in the R&D stage in upgrading a NF-7S 2500XP-M System to
an A64 nForce 939

Surely the people at Silverstone have a list of compatible boards? They
had to have had something definite in mind when they designed the thing.
Only Microsoft bases designs on vague guesswork.

They have a list of intel boards just not AMD. It may be in the works

To answer the other poster, no list of boards they only advise that if the
socket is located towards the middle it won't fit. I.E. MSI K8N Neo2
Platinum and the DFI NF3 board. Any board with the memory slots stuck at
the top basically.

It's an NF3 board but I'm using an Epox 9NDA3+ in mine. Nice case but holy
hell what a pain in the ass. Started day one when my practically new 480w
Antec couldn't reach the 20-pin connector on my nf2 board, had to buy an
extender off ebay. Every component has to be thought out ahead of time or
else you can get stuck. The mobo being key...good luck

Windtunnel and BTX standards were developed as a last ditch effort by
Intel to deal with the P IV Prescott furnaces before Intel simply gave
up. Neither AMD or anyone making their motherboards is/was
particularly interested in this Intel initiative; hence, it's not
surprising nobody has produced AMD based motherboards that are laid
out to meet an Intel sponsored case design....
