Sim City 4 Will Not Install on my Sony Windows 7 Laptop

I have tried to install Sim City 4 Multiple times on my Sony Windows 7 Laptop. When it is installing it reaches 76% and then a window opens and says searching for content. It never does anything and if you press anything it stops responding completely. It actually didn't finish but somehow installed once but I uninstalled it because it froze and took me back to the desktop every time i would play a few minutes. Can anyone help me?

i am having the same exact problem as you except mine stops at 75.66%! Can anyone help??

I would try to right click on the setup file, select properties. Go to the Compatibility tab and select XP compatibility mode and check Run as Administrator.
