I thought this was a spoof when I first saw it but it seems ALL the games I
play are the work of the devil. Well, all I can say is GOOD.

That's not the reason. There are moderated news groups, for example
comp.std.c++. These groups could get a moderator, if they wanted to.
There's a complicated process for setting up moderation, and you have
to find someone actually willing to do the work of being the
moderator. That last items is usually the biggest obstacle.
