Thanks for reply. This is a typical eBay item that once you buy it you find out that it doesn't do something or another. In this case 'Vista'. The item is referred to "Super SIM" which is reportedly a 16 in 1 SIM card. I won't even question how that would work, but interest in just one at this time. I contacted the company and they report Windows XP only. I searched on-line and through windows for vista driver to no avail. I even attempted to use another similar device driver, NO GO!
Package consist of small CD, a USB to SIM dongle, and a Super Sim Card. Oh, almost forgot, a short letter requesting a rating of 5 on their site.
Board identifies some markings: CEFC smc R/W, and every thing else appears as component id only.
Again, thank you. I could not find part number, but it would have been nice. I suppose I will need an XP computer for testing.
I told my kids, my next computer might just be the other guys. I also have linux but don't know enough about working it except to be dangerous.
Gandalf :
1. Is there a part number.
2. Have you plugged it in and tried it.
It might have a Microsoft default driver.
Check your Device Manager.
