Hello
I want to find out how to disable this feature - but I don't even know what it would be called ?
It is similar, but different - to the notoriously annoying Google Search Sidebar / Side Panel (which I'd also like advice on expunging from my Chrome forever).
Here's a screenshot with highlighted sections...
Regarding the image in the link...
This was a straight web search (not Image search)....
If I try to click on one of those image thumbnails, it pops up like this (Green Circle) - as you can see with me trying to click on the image of Jason Momoa.
However, there is also a completely blank rectangle on the side (Red Rectangle) where the Google Search Sidebar / Side Panel was - until I disabled it using flags.
I used the new way to disable it where they changed the name to Side Panel instead of Sidebar.
The Google Search Sidebar hasn't seemed to re-appear for normal searches - so far...
But, now I think it is leaving this full screen length blank box as a result when trying to view this Image from the thumbnail? Clearly not what I had intended?
This is what I did with the flags....
I edited them at this address... copy and open in a new tab...
chrome://flags/#search-web-in-side-panel
I disabled these two entries:
and
Please check that any solutions you offer are current - as they keep changing things...
I don't want to have to manually click the hide/open button each time the Google Search Sidebar / Side Panel appears - I want it dead forever
So how do I get rid of both of these annoyances - permanently ?
Thank you for your help
