Hello!
To keep it short, my phone is a bit broken. (Wifi occasionally works, about 20% of the time. Searched around for ages, and everything seems to be pointing to a hardware issue)
I have a Motorola Droid Maxx, and I'm looking into unlocked phones for a cheap alternative to sticking with Verizon's contract upgrades.
I'm just a little confused about how unlocked phones work, exactly. How to check if my sim card is "GSM" and what not, I would very much appreciate if someone could explain it in simple terms.
Along with that, I'm looking for recommendations on cheap unlocked phones, or if it's worth it to get pretty much any unlocked phone that meets my requirements (Which is compatible with my verizon 4g LTE sim card, and either has 32gb of storage/expandable up to 32+)
Thank you in advance!

If your contract is with Verizon, you are pretty much locked into what they offer, due to the techology used by Verizon.

If you happened to be on Att or TMobile, you would have much greater choices.
