I have been using Inpaint. Simple, easy and almost no learning curve. Does a great job, but am ticked off by their changes. When I bought it about 4 years ago, for a $10 LIFETIME license. First year, upgrade was free. Second and third year the upgrade wiped out the lifetime license and they started charging every year and increasing the cost! Not a big deal of a price at $29, but ticks me off the way that they changed the lifetime. Well, grumble, grumble.

Is there a software that can easily do the same thing as "inpaint"? Just want to remove some things in images.

Not an answer per se.

However, it would be helpful if you mention any apps or tools that you have tried.

And what you liked and did not like.

Are you willing to spend some amount - budget?
"I have been using Inpaint. Simple, easy and almost no learning curve" it was $10 lifetime, This was great for me. I could pay the new price at $29. But it ticked me off because they said it was a Lifetime license. They had a free upgrade on the lifetime license but when I did that, they changed the rules and then I have to pay every year more each time. It is not the money, but I feel like they changed the rules without warning! And keep going up!

Anywhere from free to $30 for a lifetime license.

I am not a professional. I take a few pictures and want to remove a few things. Might be nice to swap out a background.
