Question Simple Ram Upgrade Question

(I am very new to this) I know how to physically install ram. I just didn’t know if there is anything else to it such as downloading drivers or setting something up in the BIOS etc. Thanks!

No drivers.

Maybe BIOS if wanting to use XMP profiles (form of simple overclocking), but you don't need to for it to work.

Mainly compatibility as there are differences depending on age. Eg. DDR2 and DDR4 are physically different. There are also differences between laptop and desktop RAM even if both are DDR4.

also proper slots insertion. if your board has 4 slots you will need to install the RAM in the proper slots as described in the manual. for two slot boards this is not an issue.
