Is there a simple way to access my router and spy cams away from home? Have Charter Spectrum, Aus router and want to check my home security system. Tried I Spy, BlueIris and can't get the right DNS or whatever it is to work...
Port forwarding through the router.
The user manual for the cameras should tell you which specific port they are using.
Then, you'll need to know your public IP address. It's not
required to have a static IP from the ISP, but it helps.
You just have to know what it is.
Strong passwords on the cameras. Do NOT leave it at the default.
However...many/most of these cameras use a very few variations on the same firmware. And there have been many, many backdoors, holes, and other security faults with these things.

Remember...if you can access your cameras from outside the house, maybe I can too.
