Simple SSD question

Hi

I have a Gigabyte gaming 7 Z270x motherboard ( https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z270X-Gaming-7-rev-10#kf ), and I already have one pcie SSD connected above the graphics card, but it's only 250 GB so I'm looking at getting another SSD. I'm pretty clueless as to where I should connect it though.

There is another slot for a pcie SSD below the graphics card, but is it simply a case of connecting it to give more storage, or will it effect anything?

Then there's sata port SSDs and SSDs which just connect via USB, so I don't really know which to go for.

Any help would be much appreciated

Please link the both of your pcie ssd,

If you are doing it for storage go with a SATA SSD, it will be plenty fast enough.

for storage, use sata port based ssd
For performance and cleaner look, use m.2 nvme ssd.
Just for cleaner look, use m.2 sata ssd.
