SimpleShare (SimpleTech) date question

I've just bought a 250Gb NAS SimpleShare by SimpleTech. I've noticed that as soon as I access 1 file in a folder that all the date/time stamps on all the files in that folder are immediately updated.

Anybody else come across this? Any ideas how to fix this?

Hmmmm ..... found an article suggesting a firmware update may fix this.
