Sims 3 laggy and slow with NVIDIA GTX 670MX?

I just got a brand new gaming laptop from cyber power. I can play Skyrim on max settings with no problems at all, but not Sims 3!? It's really slow and lagy and takes ages to load textures etc. Anyone got any solutions? Here are my basic specs:

intel core i7-3740qm CPU @ 2.70ghz
8 gb RAM
NVIDIA GTX 670MX
About 200gb of SSD

Have you tried installing new drivers from Nvidia homepage?

Sims 3 engine is terribly optimized in my opinion.

It is slow and laggy on my rig too 🙁

It is the game engine and not your rig.
