I played Sims 3 on my husbands Toshiba Satellite for 6 months and I think it kept getting too hot and fried the motherboard. I wouldn't recommend you play unless you have a good laptop fan and play for short periods of time. We are actually considering replacing it with a desktop computer because they have better cooling systems. Just wanted to let you know what my experience was so you can try to avoid the same unfortunate event. If you still want to install it, try calling the customer service, they were really helpful when I had issues installing it. # (650) 628-1001
