Sims 3 update

i did the recent update for sims 3 for PC. the update said it was finished so then i clicked to play the game and an error came up saying the update was still installing.. 3 hours later i still cant go on nor can i find the update on my PC. i need help fixing this

Did you designate a download location in your browser's settings? If not, go to...

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\

Check to see if it's there. If not, try looking in the Downloads folder in your My Documents. If you still can't find it from there, just do a Search.

First though, locate the update then restart the computer and try to update again. If it still doesn't work, let us know.
