Since getting a new SSD, Windows 7 sometimes freezes or hangs at "Starting Windows" screen during reboot.

Ever since getting a new SSD (SAMSUNG 850 Evo 500gb) I've noticed this one issue. Sometimes I'll restart my PC and it boots up with no issues. Other times it hangs on the "Starting Windows" screen for 20-30 seconds and eventually loads. Other times it completely freezes on the "Starting Windows" screen forcing me to reboot the PC. Whenever it freezes on the startup, the follow up reboot will always work without problems.

Is this a faulty SSD? I've also read it might be a bad Sata cable. What could be the cause?

Solution
Anything is possible, although 850 failures are semi-rare...

I'd try another SATA data cable, which will get a new cable and both ends reseated, or, try antoehr SATA port, and/or, wipe/reload start over full reinstall....perhaps a glitch in a clone, perhaps?
