Since installing windows 7 on my laptop Dual screen is not working

Hi,

Since installing windows 7 on my laptop i am running in to some problems, that i did not have when my laptop (lenovo ideapad 100) had windows 10.

I always have a second screen connected but when i connect the hdmi cable from my tv to my laptop nothing happens. It dos not even register that there is a second screen connected.

Windows update dos not change anything

Do any of you know whats wrong and how to fix it? (if more info is needed, i will provide that)

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Did you install current video drivers or are you still using the default one?

I did a clean instal, no extra graphic drivers

You will most likely need the full drivers for advanced features like that.

No idea what's inside your laptop. Need to give us a rundown for specifics.

from the device manager:

computer = ACPI x64-based PC

Display adaptors = standard VGA graphics adaptor

Monitors = generic PnP monitor

Processor = Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.20 GHz
Installed memory (RAM) = 4.00GB
