hi, i noticed some rams like Zeppelin DDR4 4GB 2400MHz CL16 Single Channel Desktop RAM, emphasis on singel channel, so, does it mean if i buy two of them, i cant get a Dual channel?
also if i want to use iGPU, i guess i need 3200 ram, so, does Dual channel means i am good to go with 2x 2400? or its sth else i am missing?
i need to chose btw 8GB 2666 or 2x2400 or 2666
APU: ryzen 3 2400g

also where is FSB in ryzen cpu? my Q8300 have1333fsb , so i know for 333 , i need a 800 ram, so 800/2 i get 400 sth (i dont know the unites)
here, i get a chance to OC my 333 CPU even to 400 and get a huge boost...
i dont know what to do with ddr4 ram

in order asked.
maybe. that is the gamble. dual channel sticks are tested to work together. single sticks are not. even two sticks of same model and made the same day at the same factory made one after the next may not work in dual channel together. I have had this scenario happen, serial numbers 1 apart. then again they may just work together. until you try and test with each stick no one can answer that.

ryzen loves and can use extra RAM bandwidth. the faster the RAM the better by ryzen to a point. 2933 seems to be the sweet spot. slower RAM will need to be overclocked to use XMP so I suggest getting 3000 as the minimum for ryzen. (eXpanded Memory Profiles)

in 2400Mhz RAM you listed above the bus speed is 1200Mhz. 1333 for 2666, and 1500 for 3000

thanks, i am going to pick the best answer but idk if i can continue the topic

well, i couldnt find anything more than 2666 beside a 3200 one in local stores, and that one have almost 80% higher price for 4GB stick, does it worth it?
and about dual channel, does it effect bus speed?
2x2666 4GB vs 1x2666 8GB (brand: AData)
can i OC this to 2933?
ps: consider this with A320 chip, still not sure if i go with b350 since i am ganna miss a PCI port for my wifi adapter, and i cant afford higher mobo of b350
i am rly tight on budget ;)

not worth it
bandwidth is bandwidth.
if the 2 sticks are factory matched get them, if they are not a factory matched set get the single stick in as high a freq as you can. easy to get a little more out of RAM, but make sure the ram starts close enough to target. 2666@2933 is easier and more likely than 2100@2933.

i found a adata f1 3000 bus, /8GB , for almost, 8-9% higher price
guess i should go with this one compare to 8/2666?

also about dual channel, r u sure this is common problem? BC i was able to get dual channel on a lot of system , just by buying same brand! right now i have 4 stick, each of them made in a diffrent year, yet its a D.C! also , i had a plan to buy another 4GB (for 12GB in total)

in my experience most RAM will boot if closely matched but the blue screens will follow. blue screens, data corruption, random reboots, and many more errors have plagued the systems with mixed RAM. before DDR2 this was not much of an issue, but increased timings and other factors have exacerbated this as an issue my advice now is to sell the RAM you have and buy new ram instead of trying to match RAM yourself. there is a reason for all the testing at the factory on matched sets, matched sets are guaranteed to work together everything else is a gamble.

if you gamble you can test your RAM with memtest86 for 5-10 passes (10 to be really sure) and if you get no errors or reboots, congrats you won the silicon lottery.
