Single Card for Nvidia Surround?

Hey Tom's Hardware!

I had a quick question! Would a single GTX 780 be able to power 3 standard 1080p displays? Or (from what I am hearing) a GTX 760 in SLI is much better. I need something that can run 3 monitors, but at this moment I don't know if or when I am getting the monitors, so I don't want to get a bad card in SLI rather than getting a stronger, single card. What would your recommendations be? Maybe even Radeon in Crossfire?

How about something like Battlefield 4 or COD Ghosts? Also, would 3 way SLI be better in this case, so each monitor has it's own card?

It's better if you go with R9 280X crossfire if you want some decent fps with battle field on 3 monitors.

At the moment I am not too enthusiastic about the 780 at this time with a $500 price tag, it seems the 290 will go head to head with it for $400. A set of 760 in SLI is a powerful set for sure and would play any game well.

Just something to think about, a 780GHz Edition is made by Gigabyte, it performs like a Titian, sweet for 3 screens in a single card solution. don't know the pricing or when it will be in the stores, I would guess around $600 and shortly after Nov 7th, when the 780Ti is released. Just something to think about if your not in a great hurry.

How about SLI 770? I was thinking about getting a Gigabyte OC 4GB Windforce Card and SLI that. What do you think? It would cost about as much as the 780TI

A pair of 770 would rock for a long time with anything you threw at it, better performance than a single titan, so I would guess a 780Ti also. You just need the PS to run 2 cards and a good case to deal with the heat..
