Single channel ram Asus Z170-A

Hello, I'm first time builder and I got Asus Z170-A motherboard.
As for RAM, I didn't have enough money left to buy 2x8gb ram. So I bought 1x8GB ram (and I'm planning to get second stick, as soon as I get enough funds).
However now, I read some post and comments and i got concern, can I use single channel DDR4 Ram on Asus Z170-A? Thank you!
