Single DDR3 1333 vs dual DDR3 1066

Due to budget limitations I have to choose either a single 4GB DDR3 1333MHz, or 2x2GB DDR3 1066.

Current specs are:

CPU: i3 2100.
Mobo: ASRock H61M-VS.
RAM: 1x1GB 1066.

Which option is better to choose, regarding performance?

I'd go for the 4 gb stick if you want to add more later. Performance wise they're about the same whether single or dual channel.

shure the the 1333 will be faster and your motherboadr work dual channel so why not buying 2x2 gig of ddr 1333 for dual channel

I don't plan to add more RAM later, so my concern now is for just 4GB.

I think this would be your winning answer. This is exactly what I'd do also.
