I'm planning on buying myself better RAM for my pc since the current RAM I have now is quite slow, I looked around for a while and found the G.SKILL RipJawsX (F3-2400C11D-8GXM), I decided to buy it but I don't really understand what it means when it says that the RAM stick is Dual Channel and has a test speed of 2400 MHz but a SPD speed of 1600 MHz, can someone dumb it down for me?

It means that this kit works best in dual channel which is like this.
and has a test speed of 2400 MHz but a SPD speed of 1600 MHz, can someone dumb it down for me?
This means that you can overclock this RAM up to 2400MHz but normally it'll run on default 1600MHz. So, if you're not into overclocking, you'd be fine with 1600MHz only.
