single/dual Channel RAM causing MB and WIN10 issues after installing additional RAM

So I have had my computer over a year now in its current set up. I tried upgrading the RAM, going from 2x4gb (8GB) to 4x4gb (16GB). I didn't want any compatibility issues so I got the exact same ram corsair vengeance DDR3 1600MHz.

After trying several ram configurations the mobo wouldn't recognise the new ram.
It was only seeing the first 2 slots and using single channel to get 8GB. It wouldn't read all 4 slots and dual channel to get 16GB.
I tried the configurations:
OLD RAM A1-A2, NEW RAM B1-B2
OLD RAM A1-B1, NEW RAM A2-B2 ect.
I even tried just the new ram in A1-A2 and it worked using single channel.
however new ram in A1-B1 did not work in dual channel mode

windows starts and gets the error "Channel B memory did not pass memory CPU test."

After trying different XMP settings (only auto or XMP 1.2 available) in the BIOS, I now get BSOD "system config error" when windows starts to boot, and I cannot get ANY combination of memory to work.

Any pointers on what to do next would be appreciated
is there a way to enable Dual channel ram in the bios? (I was under the impression is was automatic)

other info:
All memory passed memtest, and CPU-Z picks up all memory and they have all the same values.
CPU was running a little hotter than usual a few months prior to this but doesn't seem related.
I have already checked for bent cpu pins

my system is:
MB: ASROCK H87 Fatality
RAM: 2x4GB Corsair Vengence DDR3
CPU: intel i7 4690K 4000Hz
PSU: thunderbolt plus 850W
GPU: ASUS GTX 680

Solution
I found a solution to the BSOD bad config error:
"
1) Start the "inicialization repair" (or installation repair - I dont know the name in English, I just try to translate but I cant say if this one is the right term to use).
2) It will try to fix the problem without success. Dont worry, go to the "system recovery options"
3) Logon as the adminitrator
4) Go to the "command prompt" and type "bcdedit /deletevalue {default} numproc" (without quots) and press "enter"
5) Now type "bcdedit /deletevalue {default} truncatememory" (without quots) and press enter again
6) Close the prompt screen and reboot! THAT'S IT! It is all that takes to Wind goes normal again! After these steps I didnt have anymore problem!!! PRAISE THE LORD! I couldnt get...
people say that even if you buy identical ram, it may not work unless it is from the same packaging... but I have personally never had that problem. if you can't sort it in the BIOS, it may be the case. I'm not familiar with the BIOS on that board, but it's popular so hopefully someone will chime in.

Corsair guarantees the rated specifications of any memory to be obtainable only in the kit it is sold in.

If you are adding an additional set of memory, the memory may not work or may be unable to operate at rated specifications. You may need to relax the timings and/or frequencies in order to get two sets of memory to work. Another option you may need to do is increase the dram voltages or reducing the CPU multiplier.

thanks for the tips
at the moment I'm just trying to get the 2 original sticks to run in dual channel before adding the addition 2 sticks.
they are in slots A2-B2 (I have also tried other configs)
XMP 1.2 profile 1 (no other XMP profiles are available in the bios)
and dram frequency to DDR3 1333 (1:5)
all my memory is rated to 1600 MHz.

I figured if I can get just 2 sticks to dual channel I will atleast be moving forward

UPDATE:
I have tried ram in all positions and I cant get slots B1 and B2 to work at all single or dual channel, with any ram sticks.
is there something I am missing in the bios to enable this?
do you think to MB is broken?
I double checked for bent CPU plug pins but again there isn't any.

Update:
so I can get the bios to detect one new and one old ram in slots A1-A2, running at the same freq but still single channel ect.
so I do not believe it is a compatibility issue with the ram.
nothing in B1 and B2 slots are detected though, even with all 4 ram slots filled.
