I am building my first gaming pc soon and was debating getting either a 25" 1440p monitor or save some money and get a 24" 1080p monitor. I will be using a single GTX 970 G1 Windforce and was wondering if it could handle games at 1440p without dropping below 60 fps? Also, would the 1440p be worth it? Here is my full parts list: [PCPartPicker part list](http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7y8rf7) / [Price breakdown by merchant](http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7y8rf7/by_merchant/) Thanks!

a single GTX 970 handles 1440p pretty well for most games, Only games I can't max out at 1440p with 60fps is AC Unity, which gets around 45-50. and Wolfenstein for some reason struggles at 1440p maxed out, with 45-50fps during combat...

I use a custom resolution though so don't get full effect of 1440p but it makes games on my 1080p monitor look lovely.
