I have a pc with an intel i7 4790k, a gigabyte G1.Sniper z97 motherboard, 16Gbs 1866ram, and a SINGLE nvidia geforce GTX 980 graphics card.

I want to add a second monitor( 1080p) to my computer so i can play games on one and stream videos, surf web, etc. on the other. Can the 980 still provide exceptional gaming while handling HD video streaming ??

ps: My current monitor (22 inch) is connected with a hdmi cable)

If I were to do some gaming, would that impact the monitor choice at all? And also, how bad would the 980 be if i DID do a bit of surround?

ohhhh ok thanks for clearing things up :D i guess i'll go with the LG monitor then

2 monitors can not be used for surround.

Think of where the cursor would be for example when playing a first person shooter. :)

No problem. :) And yes, its actually 1, 3, 5, 7 for Nvidia surround.
And interestingly 1, 3, 5, 6, 7 and more for AMD Eyefinity.
