I am currently recording gameplay with my primary gaming pc i7 4790k @ 4.2 GHz and a single gtx 980 ti OC. I use software on this pc to record and the same pc to edit and render.
My goal is to use a second pc to stream, record and render so that my gaming pc is only for gaming and my second pc for everything else. Reason for that is to eliminate any possible performance issues and time consumption of using a single station. Also I want a dual audio capture so that I can easily record my game audio and mic and have them as separate files but at the same time synced.
What my problem is, well I don't know much about the hardware and misc. details of using this kind of setup. I am going to be using the AVerMedia ExtremeCap U3 capture card.
Do I need a GPU in the secondary pc or will the intended graphics of an i7 4790k do just fine?
Are there any alternatives?
Should I use the i7 4790k or i7 5820k?
Thank you and Marry Christmas
