I have a win7 64-bit computer. Not sure how to find the specs, I forget how. Anyway, I am looking for a single player rpg for win7. I know there are an awful lot of old games out there. How bout a more recent one. NOT The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, NOT Fallout, but new games BESIDES those? Please? I don't want a first person shooter, either, no Grand Theft Auto, but nice rpg single player for win7. Please help. Thanks.

Yeah, Mass Effect is one of those rare games that allows you to import you character from the previous since it is a continuing story. Therefore, the choices you make in Mass Effect 1 can change some story elements in Mass Effect 2. Combine that with the choices you make in Mass Effect 2 can have some significant effects in Mass Effect 3's story.

Mass Effect 3 is supposedly the final in the series, however, BioWare recommended that you keep your final saved game. Just in case....

You, sir, are a retard. Dragon Age is an insult to Baldur's Gate. Spritual successor? Stfu. Baldur's Gate is it's own successor. Dragon Age is another cheaply made pile if crap that wants to play with the big boys. Get a grip.

Might aswell throw my own recommendations in here:'

Elder Scrolls: Skyrim (don't worry about not playing Oblivion, it's not really an issue)
Mass Effect triology (you can choose the "renegade" path wich is like being a villain)
Gothic 1 and 2 (1st and 2nd game is old but awesome, 3rd is crap, 4th is... fair)
Diablo III (imo only fun if you have enough time to farm properly and get the gear)
Witcher 2 (1st is fun but i didn't like the combat system and controls)
Borderlands 1 and 2 (both games are awesome and it's recommended to play them in order)
Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition (dark, addictive RPG, my favorite game)

Im sure there are more great RPG's out there, but i haven't tried everything

Good single player rpg

Dragon Age and Dragon age

Final Fantasy 13 if your a fan

Fallout 1 and 2 if you can get the old school rpg

Emulate the business out of Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis.

Earthbound is delicious, Lufia 2 Rise of the sinistrals is amazing.

I can go on for days. :)

Wouldn't really broach this topic here, although as 16-bit RPG's go there are some great ones to try and track down and legally own. Shining Force 2, Phantasy Star IV, Link to the Past, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Final Fantasy VI, Landstalker, Beyond Oasis just to name a few.

On PC, the re-releases of the Ys series (Ys: Oath in Felghana and Ys: Origin) are also really good as far as retro rpg's worth playing go.

Before going berserk and calling people retarded, do some research! Dragon Age is indeed the spiritual successor of not only BG but also shares gameplay similarities with the Neverwinter series, even the KOTOR series. All these games have the Bioware atmosphere to them.

I would recommend the elder scrolls, but as you have put those down I would recommend these.

The Witcher 1 and 2: WEll made RPG single player adventure game. You follow the character Gerald of Rivia. Fluid combat system with fun quests and a catching story line.

Diablo 2 and 3: Both greta rpgs i would just say Diablo 3, but Diablo 2 is a phenomenal game i spent lots of time on it. Great combat system and always fun. You keep coming back over and over with other modes and difficulty like inferno. Both are good games.

Dragon Age 1 and 2: Both good games you can create your character and story unique to your preferences. The cool part is your decisions from one game can transfer over to the other if you bring your toon from Dragon age 1 to Dragon age 2. Both are good games, but i would say that Dragon age has a better story line and dragon age has a less grasping story line and a improved combat system. Not to hate on either but they are both great.

Balder's Gate: Its a little older, but its a great game. One of my favorite games of all time. Great action RPG and would recommend it to anyone. Good combat system and a fun story. Long game too. Very customizable skill set and play styles.

Hope i helped and you will try one or all of these.

Thanks
