I recently ordered a new psu to use and keep while waiting to RMA my current psu that reboots under load (then keep that as a backup psu once replaced).
My question is if single or multi rail is better? It seems like the multi-rail can spread the load so I assume this has less wear and tear? I plan on overclocking my system. I'm not sure if the psu will shut down or not in multi-rail because I read that the maximum power consumption is reduced for each rail.
The psu I ordered was the Corsair HX1200 and I may upgrade my computer to a 3080 and either the latest AMD or Intel cpu that is around $600 (or 2nd best)
