Single Sided vs. Double Sided M.2 SSD's Performance Difference

Hey guys, a small doubt emerged when I was choosing an SSD (the MX200) for my 1st build. Is there any performance difference between the two types? All I know is that single sided are very thin and are useful in thin laptops and double sided allows twice as many chips to be installed for bigger storage capacities and is used where space isn't critical. So which one is better?

According to this long review of the Samsung EVO, last page, they prefer more chips than less chips.
