Question Single stick of DDR4-2400

I am putting my Asrock Steel Legend together. I only have one stick of DDR4-2400. 8Gb...... There manual probably tells me this, but I can't seem to find it. Which slot do I install just one stick?

In general, one stick goes in leftmost slot (closest to CPU), two sticks go in that one and the second from the right (one-slot gap between the two. On a board with 2 memory channels, these are the first slot of channel one and the first of channel 2.) Four sticks populate all slots. According to the manual, though, this board doesn't follow that rule, and would rather you put one stick in the second slot from the CPU, two in that and the furthest.

TL;DR, Put it in the second slot from the CPU.

Thanks! I have the manual. But, this is my first build. And I am unsure of some terminology.

Just so you know a single stick of slow ram(yes ddr4 2400 is considered slow) is going to hurt a Ryzens performance especially if you are using an APU.
