SiS + ATI

There is a leak of info about ATI buying SiS.

SiS sold all their foundery components and is left with only the graphics and Chipset components. Remember SiS financed XGI.

Looks like XGI might be fighting on ATI's side soon. And add Sis's Intel and AMDs chipsets to boot.

It was on the Dow Jones Newswire, which is a subscription only service.

ATI is selling half a billion dollars worth of stock to buy something that Taiwan's Silicon Integrated Systems Corp has, but it's not clear what exactly yet.

ATI would not get XGI.....not interested.
They would like to get the chipset division which lets SiS and ATI work well together for Xbox Next plus more traction of the IGP 9100. Remember SiS is soon to have a new chipset for PCI express but they want a DX9 integrated graphics chip.

ATI and SiS may be inbed with each other.

Last thing is Oriental product designed by the orient has has shipping problems getting into the US. There was a shippment tarif problem last year in the california dock. SiS would be able to avoid any further difficulties in the future if they were owned by a North American Company.
