We are having an issue where our LogMeIn program is sometimes not authenticating with the LogMeIn Server. Upon analysis of the LogMeIn logs, it can be seen that for some reason when the client tried to authenticate with the LogMeIn server the client sends a proxy certificate to answer the logmein server certificate. This causes authorization issues for the connection, which results in clients showing as offline in logmein when they are actually online.

I have already spoken with LogMeIn about the issue and we have not yet found a resolution, so I was hoping that by asking the question out in the wild, might be able to see if anyone has had a similar issue or might have some knowledge of what might be going on.

This will sometimes happen if your Proxy / Edge protection device performs SSL Dectryption / Re-Encryption so that it can monitor what's going on inside SSL traffic. Would need some additional information about your edge device to further assist. If you are not the Firewall admin, maybe bring it up to them to see if they can do proxy bypassing for those certain apps / sites / clients. Whichever will allow the functionality to work without punching additional unneeded holes in your firewall.
