Skill tapes & Clothing attachments

Greetings all!

Does anyone know how much effect skill tapes and clothing
attachments actually have?

As a Master DE, I've been packing these things into every
socket I can conceivably wear, and I admit to not seeing any change in
the areas these tapes are supposed to improve - such as
experimentation, and so on.

Am I wasting my money on these things?

You need +10 Experimentation to get one extra point.
Humans get +15 Artisan Experimentation, so therefor human artisans can get
11 points to experiment with. Five more points through skill tapes and
he/she will have 12 points to experiment with.

so then, havinf just one sill tape of anything is not really any good?

youll need ones with higher bonus to get more

trying to stack 2 +1 tape only result in a +1 bonus (fudged up math eh?)

However (least in my experience) putting a higher bonus tape of same type,
say a +2 or higher will result in the higher bonus counting.

ie: you already have a +1 to artisan experimentaion. putting another +1
still only counts it as a +1. however, put a +3 artisan experimentation on
and youll get a +3 bonus.

So try to find the highest ones you can....granted they will cost you more,
unless you get them droped (dont know highest droped can get)

You can only have one type per piece of clothing.
But different pieces of clothing stack bonuses, up to +25, IIRC.

Loot from everything you can kill. Best bets are the higher end mobs, such
as Nightsisters, Singing Mountain Clan, Jedi NPC's, Lord Nyax, higher end
Tuskens. I personally haven't been lucky enough to loot anything decent,
but they are out there.
