Skullcandy Headset stereo or mono?

So I have these skull candy gi headphones http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004P1HW8I/ref=twister_B003LVZFQO
but im having trouble finding out if they are mono or stereo. When i test them through the windows sound, they appear mono (the tone that rings in the left and the one that rings in the right both ring in both ears) but i was wondering if something had happened to them that could be possibly fixed

Go to control panel>sound>configure, is there an option to set it to stereo? Those shouldn't be playing in mono.

it doesnt let me click on configure... and im using windows 8 btw. It lets me click configure on my tv and other sources just not headphones, i have tried plugging in other headphones but i still cant click it.
