I can honestly say that I can't remember the last time I saw a movie I
enjoyed as much as I enjoyed Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

He just saw it the other day, actually.

Loved it.

I saw the trailer! I can't wait for it to get here... the fact that 90% of
it is CGI does bug me a bit though...

I don't really understand this potential complaint. Everything but the
people being CGI is one of the points of the movie -- you don't go to
Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and then complain that the cartoons don't look
real enough.

Just enjoy it as /good/ CGI that looks a lot like the painted covers of
old pulp magazines.

You'll very quickly get over it.

And, let's face it, this film just wouldn't be what it is if it was not made
the way it was.

I finally got around to seeing this today.

<very minor spoiler possibilities ahead>

Giant flying robots, mysterious assassins, and dinosaurs! The only way they
could have made it better would be for the robots to fight the dinosaurs.

True. Tho I would've added a faux teaser at the end for Sky Captain's
next big adventure! (see the Giant Robo anime for a great example of
this)
