Sky wireless router to take more than 4 wireless connections

I have a sagem wireless router which will only allocate 4 pcs, I have 2 main pcs allocated, a work laptop and a further laptop. A repaired laptop now back in service has not been allocated a ip address, the laptop says its connected but no access is evident.

Do you have Static IPs assigned to you by your ISP?
Is the router handing out public or local IPs?
If they are local IPs, have you checked out the IP range setup in your route?

Could the repairer have upset your settings? Is "Automatically detect settings" ticked in Internet Options>Connections>LAN? Has he added ticks in the proxy settings in the same form?[/#000ff]
