After a long break in PC gaming I would like to get away from my consoles, but I am too attached to gaming on the couch. So I would like to build a small PC for my living room. I also want to keep the noise and heat to a minimum. I will probably be playing older steam games that I bought but never played. I would like to be able to run new games like Battlefront and Fallout 4.

I like the idea of 'future proofing' but I'm not completely set on Skylake. So please convince me into or out of it.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I am pretty set on the Corsair Air 240 case, or one that is also very basic. It will be sitting next to my entertainment system so I wanted to keep it as low key as possible.

The CPU cooler must be under 120mm for the Air 240 case. I made a few changes that you recommended. How does this look?
