skylake Processor for Music/Video editing?

i already have 16gb ddr4 ram, gtx 950, h110i mobo, 620w seasonic psu.
i dont do much gaming. just a little. but i do more on photoshop, video editing and music editing.
what is the recommended processor?
i was thinking of getting i3 6100 or i5 6500/6400

I would get the 6500 it you can swing it.

If you do a lot of photo/video/audio editing, then the i5-6500 should be your best option between those three.

can my asus h110i-plus motherboard be compatible with i7-6700?

You can use any Skylake CPU with any 100-series chipset. The main thing you lose with lower-end chipsets is the unlock for K-CPUs and SLI/CF support.
