I Downloaded Skype and ran it. I click [No account Create one!].
This takes me to a window Let's get started (Create or Sign in)

Big red banner Unable to sign in. Please check your internet connection and try again.

There is nothing wrong with my internet connection. I have just downloaded the EXE file.

Just tried ZOOM. Thats just as bad. Click on the Blue sign up button and it goes grey for a few seconds and back to blue. Nothing happens here either.

Sounds like a parental control/antivirus controlled lock out, this happens a lot in windows and is annoying to a lot of people trying to install things like Skype discord zoom and many other apps, try disabling windows anti virus and if you have a anti virus disable it

Skype uses Microsoft accounts. So you can create your Microsoft account using a browser, and then just use that account for Skype.
