Skyrim - 2k Textures Mod problem.

I NEED HELP PLEASE! :ange:

I installed all four components of the Skyrim HD - 2K Textures mod (towns, landscape, dungeons and misc) using Nexus Mod Manager. I checked my Skyrim/data/textures folder to see if everything installed correctly, and it did. I go in-game to test, and the mod is simply not working, at all. This is extremely confusing and frustrating, as I have activated bEnableFileSelection for both ini files in My Games/Skyrim and Common/Skyrim folders. I fail to see a reason why this mod shouldn't work. I also added bLoadLooseFiles to the Skyrim.ini file in My Games/Skyrim folder.

I barely have any mods installed. A Quality World Map, Sky UI, and all the Unofficial patches (I have all of the expansions). All of these are functioning properly, which makes this 2k textures issue even more frustrating.

May be important to mention that prior to 2k installation, my Skyrim data folder barely had anything in it. The game played fine regardless, and I read that having a small data folder is normal.

I really need some assistance if possible.

Solution
you should use texture pack combiner.... it uses the 2k mod your using anyways... http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20801//?

but it sounds like a mod load order problem.

the highres DLC might be loading after the 2k mods. you can uncheck the 3 highres dlc's from your load order and add them to your skyrim.ini so it forces the engine to load them before any other mods.

you would have better luck asking on the skyrim.nexus forums by the way

Hey Bystander :) thanks for your response.

There is nothing in the install instructions about which order to install it in.

I have used BOSS to organize my LOAD order, if that's what you're referring to. However, it only organizes the plug-ins, and because 2k Textures isn't a plugin, I don't need to organize that.

make sure you actually have the mods plugins active. Do this by opening NMM and select the 'plugin' tab. Then click the check box next to the texture plugins. If I am remembering correctly for some reason these do not auto activate unlike most mods. Let me know if that was the issue.

For anyone looking to this thread for assistance still, make sure you are deactivating (deleting) the original skyrim.esm before running the game after installing hd 2k textures from the nexus. Both normal textures (covered by skyrim.esm) and HD 2K textures cannot run at the same time. This is similar to having to do so when installing apachiiSkyHair. Hope this helps!

I think this is a troll answer. Do not follow this advice.
