Skyrim Crashing to desktop on windows 8.1

When I updated to 8.1 Skyrim crashes when I load an old save or start a new one. I have looked for an answer for countless hours and tried re installs. I really want to play skyrim and record it for my YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/Theonlycstiles96

I really hope you can help me!


PC specs: i7 3770k
intel extreme mobo
2 GTX 670's
samsung 840 120gb ssd
2 750gb hybrid drives
Sea gate barracuda 2 TB 7200rpm
3 23 inch 1080p samsung monitors

You should be able to roll back from 8.1 to 8.

You could also remove and re-install Skyrim. I don't know what to say about your saves.

Will rolling back to win 8 erase any files or anything along those lines?

You will lose files downgrading. Make sure to backup all personal and important files. I would recommend taking a system image prior to beginning work.

Yeah thats what I was afraid of. I guess it can wait until I switch over to dual booting with ubuntu and steam os in the next month or so. Thanks for the suggestions.
